IVC Detroit Executive Director recognized by Center for International Relations at Madonna University

On November 16,  Julie Oldani- Executive Director of the International Visitors Council of Detroit (IVC Detroit) was recognized by the Center for International Relations at Madonna University for long standing and continued efforts towards international understanding on behalf of the United States Department of State bringing guests from more than 120 countries to Detroit. Julie has been the Director of IVC since 1995 overseeing the administration of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and establishing IVC Detroit’s supervision of the Community Connections Program for Russia & Eurasia on behalf of World Learning/USAID.

IVC Detroit administers the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in partnership with the US Dept. of State involving key professional decision makers. More than 300 IVLP alumni are current or former Heads of Government or Chiefs of State including the President of Afganistan Hamid Karzai; President of France Nicholas Sarkozy; and Former Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom Tony Blair & Gordon Brown.
